The Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center demonstrates how large-scale aluminum panel systems can shape the identity of a world-class architectural landmark.
Its monumental exterior is defined by advanced aluminum curtain walls, constructed from precision-engineered “super-sized” panels to achieve a seamless, “Advanced Grey” aesthetic. These robust cladding systems provide essential weather protection and durability for the vast facade. Complementing this, the exterior canopy utilizes geometrically arranged slatted aluminum panels, supported by a tree-like steel structure, creating a lightweight yet strong cover that elegantly modulates natural light.
Inside, the expansive scale of the exhibition halls is masterfully softened by a spectacular wave-shaped aluminum ceiling. Crafted from custom-curved aluminum veneers and specially formed components, this installation transforms rigid metal into a flowing canopy of organic waves. The seamless, undulating contours introduce rhythm and movement, elegantly contrasting with the building's industrial framework.
